GIS and Remote Sensing Analyst and Technician

Summary: In charge of processing data into orthomosaics and 3D models, and analysis of those products. Responsible for improving workflow and expanding capabilties.


 Receive, organize and process data (photos and video)

 Use photogrammetry and other software tools to produce orthomosaics and 3D models

 Use software to tile images and host on a server

 Improve and automate workflow

 Expand capabilities through R&D, Eg. Provide GIS analysis/consulting for coastal restoration or disaster management customers

 Mission planning

 File management


Preferred Skills:

 Experience with photogrammetry and GIS software (Photoscan, Global Mapper/QGIS)

 Experience with commercial grade UAVs and consumer/industrial cameras

 Photo and video editing (Lightroom, Final Cut Pro)



Preferred Candidate Attributes:

 B.S. in Geography

 Local to the New Orleans area or willing to relocate

 Self-managed; can work effectively alone and in small teams

 Can handle wide scope of work outside of assigned responsibilities

 Requires little to no oversight to work effectively
